Z26 sputtering?
I have a 96 Z26 that I bought back in Sept 2005. After I bought it I replaced the plugs wires and fuel filter. The problem I have is sometimes when I start it up I hear a clicking sound in the engine and when I give it gas she sputters for about a block or two. It feels like she has no balls and wants to stall out. After a block or two the sound goes away and she drives normal. And then last weekend I was on the highway, I had the cruise set at 70 and she sputtered and then the tach went from 21 to 31 (i guess she started losing speed and had to get back to 70). Has anyone else had a similiar problem. I have no idea what it could be. I might change out he fuel filter to see if it goes away.

Test the coils, ICM (underneath the coils), and check your fuel pressure... you should be seeing at least 40 PSI at the rail...

Z26 sputtering?
I ended up taking it to the garage. It took 3 days before they felt the sputting. They did a press check and had 38 at the rails and when they pressed down on the throttle it started to drop instead of increasing. So they are going to change the fuel pump and check it again.
