Okay everyone my thread got completely attacked with posts so im here to update on my cowl situation

I went out and bought 3m windshield sealant and man that stuffs sticky lol. I took off the cowl and vacumned it out and apploed the sealant everywhere i could even near the windshield hoses etc anywhere i could think that had cracked sealant. I also put some where the windshield was at the bottom where the cowl piece is. ( it.doesnt smear)

All went well applied what i could it should be better i did break the plastic cover things that hold the cowl in place , what size is it lol?
I broke 2 of em

Also please no arguging i just want to get a little more info and give an update

Also those arms were not fun to take off lol!!!

The head on the plastic push pins are about the size of a penny, they stand just about an inch tall, and should work for a 3/16-1/4 inch hole.

Don't forget to seal on and around where the wires pass thru on the passengers side. Can cause leaks.

That's where my source of leaks is on my '89. Newer models have a nice rubber boot over the wires so they don't leak through that bulkhead.
