Clicking Noise
Clicking Noise
I have a '89 Beretta 2.8 Automatic that's making a clicking noise when you turn the wheel left or right. It doesn't do it when the tranny's in neutral. Just when it's in a gear. (Forward or reverse.) Any ideas?
Clicking Noise
Does this happen when the car is moving or stopped or both? Where does it sound like the clicking is coming from (inside, outside, right, left...)? Is it a constant clicking for as long as the steering wheel is turned, or just initially when you turn the steering wheel?

Clicking Noise
It only does it when the car is moving.  It starts when the wheel is turned about a quarter of the way and stops when it gets back to that same position.  It sounds like it's coming from behind both wheels. ÂÂÂ

If it clicked even in Neutral, I would say CV joints....Since it doesn't, I really don't know. Sorry!
