complete interior removal tips?

Post by ShaneLT(ShaneZ26) »

I'm going to the jy tomorrow to pull a complete grey interior from a 93 to put in my 95 Z. Anyone got any tips?

Also what 93's came with the 3.1? Base or GTZ?

Base, GT, GTZ, all could come with a 3.1.

As far as pulling the interior, get a torx bit set from like T10 up to T60 sizes if you don't have them already! You'll need them!
'94 Quad 4 H.O. 5 speed Z26, Red & Rare! 1 of 896 Quad Z26's and of those it's 1 of 167 red paint/gray interior!

Can I put a passenger side seat in the driver side? And are z26 seats the same as gtz seats? I have a z and I need a new driver seat. The padding is f'd. And I can get the seats from a gtz.

You can swap pads and fabric I think. Seats may swap but you will have your lever on the wrong side

the pass seat wont have the lumbar support but i imagine if you have bullring pliers you could swap it over. I always wanted to put lumbar in the pass side

Actually the passenger side does have the lumbar bag, just no hose for the pump going to it. Just add the pump and hose and your good. I discovered this when i made a drivers seat out of a mint passenger seat ;)

That's what I'm in the process of doing right now. I got a mint pass seat from a tempest with z26 style seats. I never new certain models came with them. I also got a Hood light and a overhead console from it.
