windshield wiper clunk

driver side wiper clunks at the top of the motion. i pulled the cowl to check every thing out and it looks normal. i put it back and still have the thump. it sounds like plastic on plastic and all the push retainers are pretty much new and the right size.

Have you checked the bushings that hold the wiper motor to the firewall? Check there. Sometimes they may come loose or fall off and it could cause that

if you mean the bolts, i tightened those down. but the motors shifts just a little while its turning. FWIW, the motor clicks in revolution but i was thinking that might be normal
