Daytona USA

Post by Chad91GTZ »

For those of you who don't remember, Daytona USA was an arcade console game that was hugely popular. One of the highest grossing arcade games of all time, and was one if the most realistic racing arcade games ever.

This is special to me, as I pumped many quarters into this game as a child and young teen.

Ontop of that awesome fact, the car in the game, the hornet, is modeled after a Beretta. Which is pretty freaking awesome.

Get as close as you can to driving your favorite car in a video game, Daytona USA is on XBox live arcade for 800 points.

Sweet!

Yeah I remember that game. I know where there is an actual one here on the island. Interesting...

my brother-in-law's parents own an arcade company, which they supply all of the local bars and theaters and such with arcade games/ dart machines/ jukeboxes, pretty much anything you could want. and which in their warehouse, they have a row of 4 daytona usa machines in near mint condition. they keep them wrapped in plastic and not hooked up, so ive never had a chance to play them. but figured you'd like to know they're still around!
