could some hit me up with a little help on this like whats to look out for and easyer ways of doing it?

its direct swap should be pretty much the same but not much to be had from it as 10 hp increase is hardly felt. if ur looking for increase in hp get some rockers from 94-96 3100 and cold air intake

It is definitely worth the upgrade - it should be a direct swap in place of your old 2.8L - just use all the old accessories and injectors.

I had an 88 GTU with 2.8L and 5-speed - engine spun a rod bearing so I found a 3.1L MPFI engine for cheap and went that route. A 3400 swap would have been better for power and to go with a GenIII engine, but I wanted a quick and easy swap.

There's nothing to look out for. Just swap your old engine mounts and brackets onto the new engine.

If you drink beer while wrenching, this is like a 4 hour out, 4 hours in and fully hooked up type of swap - if you're slacking.

X2 to this...i've done it and 8 hours is being very generous.
