another trade atv for 87 base beretta 2.0

Post by Carson21R »

i found a 87 beretta base with a 4 banger on cl tonight saying they wanted to trade for an atv. i emailed offering mine, but the problem is that the beretta doesnt have a title. :/ how can you go about getting one? it runs and drives. im sure its slow as crap but it would be a great dd. im just wondering about the title because id hate to part it out and scrap it. heres the cl link.

I believe you can file for a lost title in most states as long as you provide the bill of sale for the vehicle. Get the your state's website and check with Secretary of State. Looks like it would be a great dd and by the looks of the pictures appears to be rust free too.

i never drove my 88 base 2.0 L auto on the road, it must have been decent, it drove from Alberta Canada to Ontario. i swapped the 2.0 out for a 3.1 5 speed, manly because the trany failed in my driveway, neutral drops are probably not the best thing but im pretty sure it was on its way out anyway.

The head on the motor was shot, i replaced it with a used one and new gaskets and then the trans went :(. one of the valve guides was seized to the valve wearing a big hole where the valve guide is not supposed to move, it drive 3500 KM like that and who knows how long before.
