Car wont stay running ecm?
I have a 93 GT 5 speed 3.1 mpf. My car has a chip from wot and a cone airfilter and newer exhaust. Other then that its stock , the car is having problems running it will start up every time if I keep my foot on the gas and it will run just like normal. But as soon as I let off it just dies and will start right back up again with my foot on the gas. I just checked fuel pressure its at 40 psi with the ignition on and while it runs it stays in that same area. I checked my battery as well its got a full charge just tomake sure.
One of the weird things that happened when all this started was my speedo completely stoped working and then started then stoped about 4 times within 3 miles. I dont know if that is related but all of this started at the same time.
I take very good care of my car, and this just came out of no where and I dont know what else to check? My ecm is what I am thinking of next but, I figured I would ask first and see if anyone knows anything else. Thanks for looking and any help you can give me.

Check the connections on the ecm. They can corrode and no longer make contact.
Your IAC may not be opening to allow idle. My daughters car had the IAC staying open and a high idle.
Take your ecm connector off and look closly and look for signs of corrosion.
You may have to push by hand a drill bit to clean the plug. Then you have to get a very small wire brush to clean the pins.
This can happen especially if you have a firewall leak. I suspect it can happen even if you don't.
This may also cause the speedo problem.

Thanks for the help it did trun out to be the ecm, yet there was no corrosion. I pulled the ecm and took my chip from Wot out and put the stock one just by itself in and my car started right up first try and ran perfect. I dont really know what I can do about that, I have had the chip in my car for over a year with not a single issue until now.

Only one year? I'd ask Ben if you can get another. Doesn't hurt to try.
