I have a lead on a low mileage Indy...

Post by quad4berettagtz »

I can get more info if needed, but I wanted to pass this along to the community.

My uncle called me yesterday and informed me that he knows a lady with a VERY nice yellow Indy. What I know right now is this: it has 20,000 original miles, she is the second owner, looks like it just rolled off the showroom. He thinks it was an automatic, but didn't remember over the phone. It is in WI, a little north of Milwaukee.

The owner said she would sell it if made a fair offer. He got ahold of me because he knows either myself or someone I know would take care of something like this.

Credibility: My uncle sold new and used cars for the last 10-12 years, and got out of it because of health reasons. He already told the owner that it is probably worth about $4k (she heard about the auctioned 'vert and thought she was sitting on 20K until I gave him the info that there are only like 3 of those LOL).

If there is actually anyone interested in this, PM or email me. Once I get more info on the car I can post it here. If anything it will be a good read

Why again must I be broke right now?!?!

A manual is easy enough to swap in. Especially on the older cars.

Nice find, hopefully somebody here picks this up! Then again, we do have the nick-name "broke.net" for a reason...

Some updated info on this thing:

Talked with my uncle over the weekend, and got a few specifics.

-27,000 mi
-definitely auto
-no sunroof

He failed to remember about digital dash, but I'll get him to remember eventually ;)

He said the owner is in absolutely no rush, so they are asking $5,000 FIRM.

He tends to think that they would come down to $4k if the timing of the offer was right, and using the fact that the a/c "needs repair" (aka recharge) as leverage.

88 GTU, I'll respond to the PM by tomorrow.

Thanks! Just waiting on the info. Timing is perfect as I almost bought one last saturday in really good shape but far too many miles for the price.

Mike stays pretty busy... if you haven't heard anything from him by the end of the week/Sunday, let me know and I'll text him.
