Turbo Installation Parts For Sale

Post by wicked-irocz »

I put this here for more exposure.  I have yet to receive a notice from anyone wanting turbo parts and if you want them I need you to speak up.  There is less than two weeks left before I will be permanently mounting the turbo in my car.  After this point no jigs will be made.  The plan is for the turbo to be mounted Feb. 10.

A turbo mount, exhaust crossover,  turbo down pipe, turbo to intercooler ducting, and intake ducting are completed but have not been tested and will be followed by a rear exhaust manifold block off plate, intercooler to intake manifold ducting, and possibly a fuel system upgrade kit or turbo oiling kit.

As of now the mount and crossover are specific too 94-96 3100/ 4T60E equiped vehicles although some parts may end up crossing over to other years.  The mount bolts to the 4T60E so it is only able to be used for it but the crossover MAY work for other years or transmisions but I am unsure of clearance with earlier mounts and/or transmission shift linkages.

The crossover and mount are made for a T3 exhaust housing with a .63 A/R.  I would like to know weather or not anyone is actually considering buying either of these parts.  I will make a jig if the interest is there.  The pricing has not yet been determined but a close approxamation is around $35+shipping for the turbo mount and $80+ shipping (after receiving core) for the crossover.  Those are approximant prices for bare steel, the crossover will need to be wrapped and the mount would look better painted; you could have me do this for more money or do it yourself.  PM me if you are interested, when PM’ing me please keep your personal finances in mind.

again, IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BUYING THESE PARTS IN LATE MAY CONTACT ME otherwise no jig will be made.

The car will be dynoed before May 12th.  That is a set date so do not think this is a joke.

Everything will be available late May/ early June of 2006 but right now only the battery relocation parts are available.

Keep in mind this is all custom so it may be up to a week after payment is recieved before your order is sent out.

For ordering and payment info PM me or email me

I would suggest posting his on the Bstuff message board, as many people over there would probably be more interested.

Wow.. Grr this sucks. I have no income (job) now, and if all this stuff was bolt on I'd probably be all over it. What are you going to run for fueling (injectors, pump) and engine mangangment (computer, FMU)?

Sure would be nice to just bolt up the pipes and turbo as welding all that crap is the hardest part. I've got 180k on the motor, but it's strong. Grrr I want boost. Hopefully in the years to come I'll have the beretta still for hot rodding....

Turbo Installation Parts For Sale

A few things to add and questions to answer.

This has been posted for the last two weeks in the for sale section under my post Modifications in the works for berettas.

The turbo installation will require a relocated battery (2 holes for ground, 1 hole for power, and 2 holes for battery box minimum), and for the hole behind the stock battery tray to be enlarged and shifted over for the 3" intake.  Other than these two things there is no drilling/welding required.

For injectors, I found that my stock injectors were unable to open at over 65 psi so I am running 19LB Police Interceptor injectors that I cleaned and flow matched (they were able to open to 85 psi, the max pressure the machine was able to produce).  I am then using a Vortech SFMU without the stock regulator to lower my static fuel pressure and for my extra boost compensated fuel.  I am hoping that correct sensor placement and possibly manipulation will work just fine with the stock computer.  I also am running 2 step colder plugs.
-This is all theory right now, I will hook up a wideband when I start it to get the fuel adjusted properly and pass the information along to the buyers.

If someone would post something about this on bstuff with a link to this thread and the one in the for sale section I'd appreciate it as I do not have an account.  I just do not want to deal with some of the childish things that happen over there.  I am making very little on this and have priced things at lower labor rates and used discounted parts pricing to get stuff as cheap as possible.

Definately dyno this at a low boost setting with a wide band.  Keep adding boost and adjusting fuel as you go.

When you get knock retard (you do have a scanner right?) then quit or get better fuel.

My calculations should land me pretty close for fuel.  Im planning on starting with the wastegate open.  I'll be using a scanner but I do not own it and am very interested in one that works with my laptop.  If anyone has information on this PM me.  Ohh, and 91/92 octane will be used rex.

Thank you for the post on bstuff.

I'm a farmer and an engineer   , I have my BS in May.

Yes its very cheap.  The only money I'm making is the $12/ hour labor rate I'm charging.  This is more than 1/2 off the price of the local machine shops.  I'm not even adding any of the price of the jig to the cost for the customer if I need to build one.  Ive also spent time searching for the best deals and am passing them right on.

UPDATE: I am going to Wisconsin this weekend and have yet to be contacted by anyone so consider this an extension.  Anyone interested should still contact me imediately but I will be open to making a jig up until the 17th for sure now.  I now have the crossover, downpipes, and the turbo to intercooler pipes finish welded.

EDIT:
Heres the most updated pictures of things installed.  As I said they are all out now and have just been finish welded.  Neither the Bra nor the intercooler are on tight.

Honestly if you had more of a "kit" done and installed and you know it works, you'd probably get more takers.

Pics of finsihed product would produce more interest, along with a list of things you'd need to get as well...

I'd make the jigs and save them back for future use, but I would not expect to sell many here.

I can't even get someone to buy my car.

You may get some interest in the 60 degree web sites.

IMHO, that's because everyone on the board nowadays are either:

A.  Young and broke.
B.  Older and no longer interested in the L body.
C.  Involved in one or more projects already.

With some blending of the three in there.

I'd love to buy your GTZ, but I'm a combination of A and C
