Removing Antenna

how hard would it be to remove the radio antenna and everything attached except the radio, and what would i have to take out?

It's pretty easy. The base of the antenna is attached by a couple screws behind the fender.  The cable goes through a grommet behind the kick panel (behind the ECM in the older ones).

so its just one wire and the antenna holder, sounds easy.
oh and my car is a 92 if that matters

yea, just a wire the runs under the dash and to the passenger fender, then runs behind the fender to the antenna. why you removing it anyways?
the z26 is on the road!

i never listen to the radio stations, and i think the front end would look better without it.

You realize there's going to be a hole in the fender where you take it out, right?

1. unscrew antenna from base
2. remove "nut" with the 4 grooves in it right were the antenna screws on
3. pull off rubber trim/spacer
4. inside fender 2 nuts to pull out the whole assembly
5. remove cord and pull back through into the cabin

There are 2 different antenna cables...there is a short and a longer style.  The short have a connector under the dash near the ecu and the long go directly to the radio.

Wasn't there s/one on here that moved their antenna to the rear (I think they were on here) I think that looked good.
