That was Ernest's quad, and it just recently kicked the bucket. Even Tiffany's Subaru beat it at the drags in NC! haha

Re: Quad hit 155,000 miles
Started it up today since November 1st in storage.
Fired right up.
Now it's off to a $6000 repaint and a new life as a project car for Florida Garage.

They are basically going to make it about as perfect as they can in exchange for allowing them to use it in their display at a couple of shows.
It's a nice deal to get a near show quality job for a pretty fair price.
And they are throwing in a power sunroof and new headliner.

Re: Quad hit 155,000 miles
Well so much for THAT idea/plan!
I'm NOT about to commit my car to 12 shows over the next year. I'm way too busy to be able to promise that sort of commitment. On to PLAN B, whatever that may be.
In the meantime off to the front end guys for some work tomorrow.

Or we could get Styluss to paint it with a roller at the hotel at B'Fest in Chicago while I'm waiting for someone to beat my 14.06 N/A at the track!!

Re: Quad hit 155,000 miles
But my engine is/was ALL STOCK!
And more MPH!
But this is not getting my damn car painted.
Everybody is screaming poverty but it's strange that all the "GOOD" shops are up to their eyeballs in work, and at the Car Show last week there were probably 100 new project cars I had never seen before.

It was also a complete 3500 and higher compression... and a N/A orientated cam shaft... Do you really wanna get into this with me again?asylum wrote:But my engine is/was ALL STOCK!

Take a turbo or SC motor and pull the turbo/blower off and see how slow it is n/a
And to the Poverty comment... The people with money still have money and tons of it, but those who were always scraping by are even worse now, and those who were just "comfortable" are now working hard to keep what they want. Not everyone is broke.. Just remember the money had to go to someone, and its all those selfish rich people fucking the system who ended up with it, and the responsibility of what happened.

But my car is 500+lbs heavier than both of yours and even that T56 is probably more than a 4T60E. haha3X00-Modified wrote:Yeah nice try... two extra cylinders and a 6 speed...woody90gtz wrote:I ran 13.5 N/A the last time we were all together...

I wish more people were broke, so I could buy a nice house at a foreclosure auction!
