Re: My 93 GT
The seats are both ripped on the side, the driver side being pretty shot...
Ive got some mostly mint, gray seats from a 94 base to put into it. Wish I had some nice blue ones.

I can get you a couple decent shape blue base seats. Shipping would be high, and who drives to pick up base model seats lol
I do have these tho! Haha

I like my GT type interior in my Z. I have mint base front seats and a almost mint rear fold down setup.
I've never been fond of how a Z seat holds you and always felt more comfortable in a base seat.
Re: My 93 GT
How far did you go for them lol
EDIT
I didn't like my Z seats at first either after getting my first Z04 car, the "wings" were always crushed just from using them. After I took them apart and built up the foam, they ended up being quite comfortable, I even put a set in my S10 before I blew it up.
I've never met you Jon, you a big guy? I'm like 5'5 165 lbs. The seats are almost perfectly suited to me.

Re: My 93 GT
I'm a big fan of the fit and feeling of Zo4 seats too. Then again I like to be hugged in the seat and have a Schrothe harness on the driver side to plant me in even more. I hate flopping all over the seat during autocross.

Z seats > base seats.
I love having Z seats back, especially after being without for a few years.

No I didn't drive far, I just pulled seats from my parts car one time and then I think I grabbed seat foams from another seat when I was doing the wiring harness at the JY in Mass...Chad91GTZ wrote:How far did you go for them lol

As far as big guy... Not really... I'm about 5'11" or so, and 200lbs... so I guess you could say average for my height. Although they say I should be 185lbs... Yeah right if I'm skin and bones and no muscle maybe.
And seat's are personal preference... and I guess if you had Z seats and then removed them for some cheezy Type R racing seats... going back would be a nice thing. IIRC you never had a set of base seats. I commuted in those from 2001 till 2010... When you fix the rear cushion to hold you more the base seats aren't so bad.
Re: My 93 GT
I've had 4 corsicas, the worst of the seats being in the Comfort and Luxury trim model.
And my GT had base style seats. They are fine, I just prefer the Z seats, they remind me of the womb. Hahaha
I will certainly give you in stock form base seats tend to hold up well (compared to Z seats)
I really liked the Recaros that the dealer here in town threw in on my wifes cobalt back in the day. It was during the "200 dollars to spend on your cobalt" promotion in early 2005. They had ZERO accessories. So I got Recaros out of their only SS, and the muffler tips off of my salesmans grand prix.
But when you put half down, that's what you'd expect lol. Bitch didn't like the seats so she took them back while I was at work.

Re: My 93 GT
So I got a bit of time to put some more work in on the car last night after work. Did some more cleaning on the engine bay and got my air box intake installed. Also put my nice headlights on (stock from the black GT), a glossy black front spoiler from my 88GT parts car and my spare hood. It's starting to look better, but nothing is going to be more of a savior than some white paint!

And the cleaner engine bay:

One thing that sucks, I had this glossy spoiler on my 93 GT for a couple years including some time lowered, and then it split time between being in my rafters and a slight bit of time on Dustin's GTU - and it stayed mint. Well, last night I had this sitting on the floor in the shop, and it hadn't been out of the rafters for more than 30 minutes... and my dad stepped right on it slightly to the driver side of the center. Tweeked it pretty good and tore one of the mounting holes... Arghhh... made it pain in the ass to get mounted up and now it has some separation from the bumper near the tweek... Oh well, at least he didn't step on my fender!

Sometimes that's the way it goes...
Is that pass mirror crooked? Kinda looks it by the pic.

Re: My 93 GT
Both mirrors are slightly gonzo'd actually. I think it's probably gonna end up with black mirrors on both sides.

Chad91GTZ Those are the seats I am looking for I really want the blue seats. I already have the gtz door panels and quarter panels. I just need front and back seats. It sucks that I live in CA or else I would make you a offer for them. They are very rare.

Re: My 93 GT
Yeah, those darker blue GTZ seats are rare. Sadly, back in the day I left many a set of lighter blue Z26 seats in the yard untouched...
Really wishing I woulda nabbed a set back in the day.
