Needles, CA is like the booniest of boonies. Been through there once. They have one McDonald's and everyone behind the counter is white. That's how out there it is.

That car is beat... but it looks like it's rust free! I wouldn't trust it to drive 2000+ miles though...

Rust free is rust free!!!

Soft stuff can be replaced.

Geoff is right. I wouldn't trust it on a long run, but it is what it is and the potential is pretty interesting.

Not saying working in general, just working at McDonald's. I'm pretty sure you'll agree with me that in most of the country, people working at McDonald's tend to be so-called, "minorities". So for me, personally, seeing all white folks working behind the counters was like culture-shock. I was like "WTF is going on here?" I felt I stepped into a time-machine or something. :D I gotta say though, best service I've gotten at a McDonald's. Very down-to-earth, kinda like one of those diners you see in the movies, and this was perhaps the first time I didn't need to resort to "spanish-mode" to understand the cashier. I hate that.

as far as the car, holy crap! it still has the front lip intact!!

Damn very tempting offer. I feel like buying it myself. The posting has ended. Wish I knew about it sooner.

Wanako, it's a large city thing. Your from Cali... and from the sounds of it haven't been far from that state either. I'm not in the Boonies by any means in my state but the town I grew up in had only 1 black family in it... I just happen to be from the country side. Down south, I think the roles are reversed and you'll find a heavier minority population in the "boonies" type areas as well. Oh and if you think having white folk behind the counter enhances your experience... Come my way, you get a nice dose of white trash trying to fill your order, it's worse than trying to talk to someone who doesn't understand your language, they don't understand ANY language.

I was in Needles once. Freaken hot there and damn close to Death Valley. There were no fast food places then. Just a mom and pop. Melted a C-47 model I had on the rear deck by the speakers. I was a sad kid.
