That's the same linkage as mine.
The wire you have routed wrong... It would not reach the stock TB with the way you have it routed because the sensor is in the same spot as the TCE... Location of that plug does not change.

Do you have a photo of yours?
It was going around the brake lines, but I tried another way to get it closer. It was way too tight and still is. Next weekend I'll sodder the extra pig tail that I have on.
Car will be down do to the coolant by pass tube anyway.

My iac tps and egr wire come in on the same Loom if my stock tps was anywhere near where your wire is it wouldn't even fit my stock harness. Unfortunately I don't have the 95 as OBDI.5 anymore so I can't compare that to yours to see where it came in.
Just go look at a stock TB and tell me that your wire would even reach.

Yes that was stupid of me to ask. Somehow forgot that you are no longer OBD 1.5.
It did fit the stock TB and the 3400. Nothing changed, but it's too short. My harness was routed around the brake lines with the IAC,TPS and the EGR.
Guess I'll find out this weekend if the splice is enough. Also got to get the 3400 coolant by pass tube hooked up. It will be fun to try and deal with the bracket that holds the fuel lines! May have to flip it or just get rid of it so I can bolt on the by pass to the head.
With a water pump replacement one weekend, the LIMG the next and my by-pass popping out when I hit the gas too hard I'm spending alot on coolant(yes I have the GM O-ring). The water pump just went out and was not a planned replacement. Stupid petcock won't turn, so I can't save the coolant.
Anyway thanks for the support! I'll update when I get the splice on.

I have one more thing to ask. Have you had any problems with Fel Pro upper intake gaskets with the red seals? I found that mine split on one port. That was why the idle when up and down I think.
The car is doing it again with new ones and I'm going to try to spary carb cleaner to find out. May go with ROL gaskets or something else. What do you use?

Why not fix the routing rather than splicing in a hack? As someone said on 60* v6 do it right or don't do it at all... Sorry.

LOL the 5v wire snapped off. There has to be a spice, I already crimped(also sodered) the wire back on and it will pull out the connecter if I plug it in. I didn't cut more than 1/8 of an inch off the wire. Just enough to get rid of the fray. It was very bad so with the old crimp, the fray(with broken strands) and the 1/8 inch I'd say it was a loss of one inch.
I tried the stock route first and then went with the one you saw as more of a direct route. That added pig tail makes things look worse than it really is.
A splice is the only way I can do it.

No its not. The harness is not in the right location. It needs to be fixed. It had to work sometime before you started working on it since you even said that wire; where it is now wouldn't have reached a stock TB. You moved something sometime and i don't know what you've done to this car yourself so i can't pinpoint when it happened.

Make sure your wiring is not wrapping around an linkages or brackets down by the trans.

The linkage looks right to me. That is weird the wiring wouldn't reach though. Even with the 3x00 in my mpfi car the wiring harness was fine.

I have only one idea, the upper mount. The bolt in the back near the coolant tank is all the way at the back(as far way from the front end of the car as possible). This may have added length. My guess is that the bolt needs to be in the center.

Your motor position has NOTHING to do with this... I will say it one last time. Your wiring harness is not routed correctly.
Correct upper mount position if your wondering.

Location of the wire bundle that should be going to your TB.

Rotational bottom side of the motor yes, Top side, NO.
