Whats best with Eibachs?

To start I have the FE7 suspension. When I purchased my GTZ it came with Eibach springs and Tokico blues all around on it. Now I swear I remember reading somewhere that Tokicos weren't the best choice to go with when you put Eibach springs. Because the Tokicos were valved for a pretty stiff strut and shock and they would give you a rough ride. Am I way off on that statement or not? I know the best choice would be to get Bilsteins of course but $650 isn't in my budget right now. I was also wondering if Tokico even produced the struts and shocks for my car anymore? What are is a good choice for struts and springs for Eibachs?

I don't think Tokico's have been available for several years now.

Your best bet is to try and get Koni's, but they are discontinued for the Beretta's... you have to get some for a 3rd gen (95-99) J-body aka Cavalier, and then make them fit the Beretta strut housings. I think Steph and/or Erich did that with one of their cars.

Other than that, Bilstiens is really the way to go. Again, it's money, and probably several months waiting for Mantapart to get off their duffs to make them, but they are right up there with Koni's.

Other than that, the best option is KYB's. They are about the same stiffness as stock struts/shocks, maybe a little firmer, but that's what most people use when looking for a good handling/cheap suspension upgrade.

Stay away from Gabriel's & Monroe's.

Bilsteins are not an option, i have waited mine for 14 months now and havent heard nothing from Mantapart. They dont reply or give my money back.

It sounds like Mantapart are a bunch of well I think you get my point. That really sucks you haven't gotten your money back. Is there no way you can get your money back? It really stinks that my lifetime guaranteed Tokicos are not replaceable. Would it be worth the time to get the adjustable Konis or not?

Are you going to plan a trip to visit them when you come over for BFest?

And yes, Koni's are worth the install... I would say Koni's and Bilstiens are quite comparable... the only advantage the Koni's have is that you can adjust the damper stiffness.

Why wouldnt they either fix your current ones or give you your money back if they are lifetime warrenty?

You can try contacting Tokico, and since they have a lifetime warranty, they should rebuild them for you for free (possibly minus shipping costs though).

Since that's what Koni does it would make sense...

I know I love my rear Konis, and would love to have the fronts. If the Tokico thing doesn't work out, I'd suggest searching for a while at least for a Koni setup.
