valve covers

While at the junkyard looking at 3.1 stuff I have seen grey, black and blue...does the factory color of the valve colors mean anything?

Just wondering.

Nothing but the bad/good taste of the previous owner.

They are aluminum, at least the front ones, and didn't come painted.

The rear were stamped steel for the most part.

Not all the ones I have taken off and junked.  Any pics?
